Biography
IMD Business School
Silke Mischke is a Cognitive Psychologist and the Co-Program Director of the IMD Executive Coaching Certificate Program, which she co-designed and co-delivers.
She further works as Lecturer; Learning Manager and Senior Executive Coach for various global executive programs. She holds a doctorate in business administration and explored through her doctoral research "The Impact of Key Competencies of Emotional Intelligence on building Affect-based Trust and Willingness to change in an Executive Coaching Relationship". Before completing her doctorate she obtained a master of science in Cognitive Psychology after a BSc in Cognitive Psychology and a BA in Economics and Chinese. Further to her university degrees she is also certified to administer and interpret several instruments to illuminate individual and group preferences and growth potential. These include NEO, Hogan, MSCEIT, MRG 360, MBTI, IDI and FIRO-B. She is also trained and certified by the Tavistock Institute London in facilitating groups and decoding group dynamics.
Her coaching activities cover work with teams and individuals from international organizations. She works globally with customers from various industry sectors and governments.
Further to her role as Executive Coach she teaches emotional intelligence, personality theory, negotiation skills, stress management, time management and personal development.
In her role as Learning Manager she contributes to the program design and delivery of a series of Leadership programs at IMD. Her main focus is to understand the cognitive processes underlying human learning and finding solutions to create learning environments perfectly adapted to individual and organizational learning needs. She has worked with GE, John F. Welch Leadership Development Center, APMM, Evonik and various other global organizations.
Before joining IMD she started her career in investment banking with Deutsche Bank and Schroder Securities before moving into coaching and education design with Avallain, Viviance and Cognition & Design.
She also acts as conference speaker for specific events at IMD such as Leading High Impact Learning and IMD community sessions.
