Shelly O’Donovan, MPH Corporate Speaker, Executive Coach, Lead Body Language Trainer Shelly is the principal and lead body language trainer with Illuminate the Message, LLC. Shelly teaches Persuasive Speaking at the Wharton School, of the University of Pennsylvania. She is certified by the Science of People, a human behavior research lab in Portland, Oregon. She has led vaccine advocacy for GSK, worked as a healthcare lobbyist for the University of Pennsylvania, and served as a staffer in the New Jersey General Assembly and the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. At GSK her accomplishments include orchestrating the GSK position formulation on key issues and providing strategic counsel to state and federal government relations teams, and advocacy teams. Shelly led an award-winning grassroots advocacy campaign for UPHS and successfully lobbied for restoration of cuts to several Medicaid programs on the state level, restoring $16 million in cuts for the Health System. During her career she noticed that some of the brightest people she knew were not making their true impact. It didn’t matter how eloquent the words were pouring from their lips. While others, with very little substance in their messages were making tremendous strides. She soon discovered the super power of body language. Shelly is passionate about helping every single person discover their inner superpower through understanding the fascinating science of body language. Shelly holds a certificate of Marketing Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an MPA from Penn’s Fels Institute of Government, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Millersville University. Shelly arned her body language certification from the Science of People, a behavioral research lab in Portland, Oregon
