Seth Akutson

Professor Dr Seth Akutson holds a PhD degree in Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria; where he taught for more than a decade, he’s also a graduate of the University of Ibadan & Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he has been a senior visiting scholar in the Department of Accounting. He's been pioneer Head, Department of Economics at Kaduna State University and the Director, Entrepreneurship Centre as well as Head, Research & Training of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, Nigeria, Lagos. He’s been involved in the Trilogy of Action Research & Strategic Planning with the DFID/British Council & has worked with the World Bank Group and a number of International Non-Governmental organizations as policy advisor. Prof Seth Akutson experiences span nearly three decades, being a World Bank Economic Advisor in the Federal Ministry of Power in the office of the Honourable Minister; he is also a Policy Consultant with the German Government GiZ & the Federal Ministry of Trade, Industry & Investment. He is an Independent Monitor, Mentor, Researcher & Facilitator of the Federal Government of Nigeria YouWin! Enterprise Innovation with Growbridge Advisors, United Kingdom. Prof Akutson is into Green Economy Development as Board member & Advisor for Green Shift Africa [South Africa] and also a Board Member of EYE Africa[an NGO] as well as working with African Institute for Transformational Entrepreneurship, Coventry University, United Kingdom. He has travelled to almost all the continents of the world.

Professor Seth Akutson is a Fellow of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria(FNIMN) [membership since 2004]; Life Member, Nigerian Economic Society(LMNES); Membership of: Nigerian Institute of Management(MNIM); Chartered Institute of Administration(MCIA); Institute of Chartered Management Accountants (ACMA); European Business Competence License(MEBCL), Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria and Fellow, Institute of Public Speaking(FIPSN), among other distinctions and awards. He’s currently on Sabbatical at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Nigeria.
