Biography

Satomi Rash-Zeigler, the Managing Director at the San Diego and Imperial Counties Labor Council, spearheads campaign and program development with an emphasis on leadership cultivation, policy design, community partnerships, organizing and mobilization opportunities for more than 200,000 workers and their families. She brings over 15 years of experience working and organizing in the labor movement across the country and is the founding president of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists – San Diego County Chapter. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from UCLA and her MBA from the Haas School of Business and was recently honored with the Trailblazer Hall of Fame Award by the California Black Women’s Collective.
