Biography

I obtained my MSc degree in Molecular Biology from an Inter-University Programme in Molecular Biology (IPMB), jointly organized between Vrije Universitiet Brussel, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and Antwerp University in Belgium. I proceeded to do PhD in Clinical Sciences and Immunology at University of Cape Town, South Africa. Presently, I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in HIV Diversity Group in the Division of Virology, University of Cape Town, South Africa under the mentorship of Prof Carolyn Williamson. I have vast experience in using high-throughput sequencing approaches in understanding HIV-1 compartmentalization in body fluids and in understanding the induction of broadly neutralizing antibodies (bNAbs) against HIV.
