Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship

Biography

I received my Ph.D. in Management and Organizations from the University of Michigan in 2008. I taught Organizational Behavior and Entrepreneurship at the University of Illinois in Chicago.

My academic research was published in The Academy of Management Review, Frontiers of Entrepreneurship Research, Organization Studies, Academy of Management Annals, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management Inquiry, and Journal of Management.

I have also written more than 100 popular press feature articles on teamwork and management lessons from the rock music industry for Forbes.com’s leadership channel as well as Psychology Today, The Atlantic, Wired and Huffington Post.

Recently I have focused my efforts on nonprofit work and activism to advance the quality of life of women, LBGTQ individuals, and those affected by HIV/AIDS as a member of the Board of Trustees and the Programming Advisory Committee at Chicago House and Social Service Agency, as a trustee of The Jewish Women’s Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago, and as an active member of the Chicago Restroom Accessibility Project.

Since moving to Israel in 2019, I have been combining research and writing with activism at the Women and Gender Studies Program at Tel Aviv University.
