Biography
UW Professional & Continuing Education
Russ has been working with Java since 1996, prior to that he primarily developed using the C and Pascal languages. He has a master’s degree in software engineering and currently is an Associate Technical Fellow at The Boeing Company where his focus is embedded, highly distributed systems. His experience with a broad range of Java related tools and technologies includes build systems, IDEs, J2EE and other industrial grade tools. Russ has developed and taught courses on the Java and C programming languages as well as object-oriented programming and UML modeling. He has been preparing course material and instructing for UW Educational Outreach since 1998.
