SDA Bocconi School of Management
Roya Derakhshan is Lecturer of Project Management at SDA Bocconi School of Management, since July 2020.
Her research activities focus on interconnecting stakeholder management, business ethics and organization governance. Her current research is focusing on stakeholder experiences and trust development in stakeholder networks, investigating governance structure designs for managing external stakeholders in complex settings, and studying organization’s ethical approach in addressing community’s concerns.
She is the author of numerous article on the subject. Her work has been published in Journal of Business Ethics, International Journal of Project Management and Project Management Journal. Roya won numerous research awards, including IPMA-PMI best paper award in European Academy of Management, 2018, and IPMA Young Researcher Award in 2020. She is the ad hoc reviewer of many journals, including International Journal of Project Management, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Ethics, and serves in the editorial board of Project Leadership and Society Journal.
Roya earned a Msc in Construction Management and has two Ph.D.s in Management, Economics and Industrial Management from Polytechnic of Milano and Polytechnic University of Madrid, as a part of Erasmus Mundus doctorate programme, European Doctorate Industrial Management (EDIM). She is involved in digital marketing for her family business and supports some animal rights charities around the world.
