Biography

First 20 years, Dr. Roohullah Shabon worked as an international humanitarian aid social worker, educator, and medical doctor, in more than 20 countries with WHO, IMC, STC, SCA around the globe. He played a leading role in helping organizations and educational institutions, in their strategic direction, accountability, and program quality improvement. Dr. Shabon's focus was working with needy, traumatized, displaced, and marginalized people living with mental health, addiction, disabilities, and poverty at the UN and international community-based organizations. During the last 15 years, he is working as a frontline worker, an academician and practitioner with STC, AOHC, RTP, CSSN, Palcare, ICTC, TRIEC and SENECA college in North America educational institutions, and service providers, supporting the education institutions in teaching, curriculum development, quality improvement, change management, knowledge exchange, and program evaluation. As, mentor, he supports students and international professional educators and newcomers to integrate into the Canadian workforce and society. In his practice, Dr. Shabon uses the following approaches: right based anti-oppression, harm reduction, and trauma-informed practices
