Biography

Rocco d’Este holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick, a Master of Arts in Economics at the Collegio Carlo Alberto, and a Laurea Specialistica in Advanced Development Economics at the University of Florence. He teaches Economics of Crime, and Public Policy courses at the University of Sussex.

His current research interests are in applied microeconomics, with a focus on policy-oriented empirical analyses. He has strong analytical and quantitative skills, as well as capacity to work under pressure in highly competitive international environments.

He has been the recipient of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Royal Economic Society (RES) scholarships. He is Research Affiliate at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Bonn.
