Biography

UW Professional & Continuing Education

Ranodda DeChambeau has worked in the training and development field for more than 30 years and is currently an internal organizational development consultant at Puget Sound Energy. Over her career, her responsibilities have included leadership and employee development, onboarding programs and training in organizational change management. She’s worked directly with teams to foster engagement, address performance and strengthen team collaboration. Her previous roles include working as the training and organizational development specialist for the City of Bellevue and as manager of training for Holland America Line. In both of these roles, she supported citywide efforts in building a high performing organization and in the implementation of Lean Six Sigma methods. She’s also published work in the area of adult education, specifically mixed-mode instruction.

DeChambeau holds a master’s in business administration from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a master’s in adult and continuing education from Western Washington University. She recently completed her Ph.D. in human and organizational development at Fielding Graduate University, where she researched organizational paradox and how conflicting priorities affect individuals within an organization. She’s a certified facilitator for the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People program, Leading at the Speed of Trust, Fierce Communications, Insights Discovery Personality Profiles and Prosci Change Management.

Professional Experience

At City University of Seattle since 2006, Ranodda has taught classes in leadership, organizational behavior, sustainable marketing and training management at both the bachelor and master levels. She has developed curriculum for MBA courses in organizational development and systems management and has conducted BA and MBA courses in organizational development, systems management, group dynamics, human resources management, and effective communications. Ranodda has taught in Mexico and in Vietnam, where she instructed a critical thinking course at the Vietnam Banking Academy, a CityU partner. She was a previous recipient of an UAF Graduate Fellowship Research Grant.
