Raffaella Sadun is Professor of Business Administration in the Strategy Unit at Harvard Business School. Professor Sadun's research focuses on managerial and organizational drivers of productivity and growth in both the private and public sector. Professor Sadun's work appears in leading peer reviewed journals in Economics and Management, and is frequently featured in the business press. She is among the founders of the World Management Survey and the Executive Time Use Study. She is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics, the Center for Economic Policy Research and Ariadne Labs. She currently teaches at Harvard Business School in the Owner/President Management Program, and is the Faculty Chair for the Strategy Unit Executive Education program. She also serves as Co-editor for Journal of Law, Economics and Organization and Associate Editor for Management Science and Economica. In 2012 Professor Sadun was nominated as a Junior Faculty Fellow at the Kauffman Foundation. She was the winner of the McKinsey Award for the best article in the Harvard Business Review in 2018. In 2021 she received the honour of Grande Ufficiale dell'Ordine "Al Merito della Repubblica Italiana," the highest-ranking order of the Republic, awarded for “merit acquired by the nation” and in 2022, she was awarded the “Fondazione de Sanctis per le Scienze Economiche.”

Professor Sadun completed her PhD in Economics at the London School of Economics. Prior to her doctoral studies, Professor Sadun earned a M.Sc. in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, and a B.A. in Economics from La Sapienza University in Rome.
