Ottillie is another multinational trainer who knows how to bridge the transatlantic gap. Born to British parents who raised her in Canada, she brings an eclectic worldview to all her work. Not only that, she combines a diverse arts background with extensive business nous.
Ottillie has an insatiable curiosity about life and is passionate about people, travel, languages and culture. She has been communicating with others through various mediums from a young age. Her French language skills were developed in Canada through bilingual schooling, and she acquired a strong sense of discipline during eleven years of dance training with the Edmonton School of Ballet.
Discovering her voice through theatre as a teenager, allowed her to connect with others through storytelling. Since graduating from the University of Alberta with a degree in drama and comparative religious studies she has worked internationally as an independent theatre artist creating performance work that traverses the worlds of theatre, dance and visual arts.
Her passion for igniting the interest of the next generation of artists led her to become a Mentorship Coordinator for NextFest and to teach drama across Canada, Italy, and the UK.
Moving permanently to the UK in 2005 gave her the opportunity to play real-world roles as diverse as a restaurant manager, copywriter, marketing assistant, public relations officer, office manager, and assistant to the President of the Royal College of Physicians.
She came to understand that her skill set could be translated into the corporate world while working as an Executive Assistant to the European Partner of a Private Equity firm, which led her to a position overseeing the private investments of an HNWI. As a Project Manager involved in corporate restructuring for a private jet company, she was able to hone her skills in strategic thinking, diplomacy, and communication. She currently supports her partner as the Business Development Manager of his start-up traditional signwriting business.
Impact Factory allows her to connect with others, and to draw upon her considerable skills and creative background. Since joining us she has been involved in Personal Impact, Presentation and Storytelling, Customer Service, as well as Business Networking, Creative Strategic Thinking, Line Management, and Performance Management & Appraisals.
Ottillie loves leather wingback chairs, red wine, and listening to the scratchy gramophone tunes of a bygone era. She is an accredited yoga instructor whose practice provides her with the grounding and awareness necessary to navigate between the corporate and artistic realms.
