Merlin Stone

Merlin was until 2019 Professor of Marketing and Strategy. He has now retired from teaching and is helping with our research and supporting our students and staff in many ways. He is still an active researcher, focusing on digital business, information management, customer relationship management, artificial intelligence and the relevance of academic research to commercial practice.

The work of Merlin and his team forms a key part of St Mary’s submission to the UK’s Research Excellence Framework 2021. He is on the editorial boards of several academic journals. He is also a Visiting Professor at Portsmouth University.
