Matthew is a partner for the EY-Parthenon practice of Ernst & Young LLP, based in London. Matthew joined EY as part of the combination between Ernst & Young LLP and The Parthenon Group LLC in August 2014. He spent the previous three years leading Parthenon’s business services practice in London and as a senior member of the private equity strategy team.
Prior to joining, Matthew led the business services strategy team at KPMG in Europe. Previous to that, he worked in M&A strategy at Deloitte and Burlington Consultants with private equity and corporate clients.
Matthew has 10 years’ strategy consulting experience with private equity and corporations across business and support services, including multiple deals in software, data and IT services, facilities management, employability and skills, recruitment, environmental and engineering consultancy, business process outsourcing, marketing services, aviation services and navigational data distribution.
Matthew has also worked extensively across the consumer space, particularly in food and beverage — biscuits, crisps, soft drinks, mixers, dried fruit, nuts, sweet spreads, sports nutrition, health food, takeaway food — and leisure, health and fitness, budget gyms, hotels and event catering.
Matthew holds a master’s degree in Chemistry from New College, Oxford.
