Biography

Said Business School

Matteo is a managing director at Goldman Sachs, working in the Infrastructure Investment Group of the Private Equity Division.

The group manages three closed-end funds that have raised over $12 billion of equity commitments since 2006. The funds primarily invest in companies operating in the utilities, energy, transportation and telecommunication sectors around the globe. Matteo sits on the Investment Committee and he is directly responsible for sourcing, executing and managing investments in Europe.

Matteo serves as a director on the Board of CityFibre, a provider of fibre network infrastructure in the UK. Previously, he served on the Boards of Atlantia, a global toll road operator, Redexis Gas, a Spanish gas distribution company, and Elenia Lampo, a Finnish district heating provider.

Matteo earned a Degree in Business Administration at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, in 2001, having also completed an exchange programme at the Wharton School in Philadelphia.

Teaching

At the School, Matteo develops and lectures finance and investment cases for students participating in the Oxford Chicago Valuation Programme, with a focus on infrastructure valuation.
