Fordham University

Sancho Cardiel (Zaragoza, Spain, 1983) is a journalist, sociologist, and writer. He was the head of the movies department at EFE News Services from 2010 to 2013 and then a correspondent in New York until 2015. He has covered several film festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Berlin, San Sebastian, New York, Tribeca, Locarno, and Dubai. Mateo was nominated for the Anagrama Essay Prize for La revolución asexual (2012), translated into English as Anticlimax (2017). He wrote a play with the same name, that opened at the Fuerza Fest in May 2018 and is currently adapting it to the big screen. He is also the coauthor of Fake Ceremonies. Movies and social delusion (2016) and was multimedia content creator at Cafe Media (2016-2018).
