Marnie Niemi Hood

Ms. Niemi Hood is director, pension solutions of the CAAT Pension Plan, leading growth initiatives as CAAT extends membership to the private sector. She has been an active member of MEBCO and served on the Financial Services Commission of Ontario’s Multi-Employer Pension Plan Advisory Committee. Drawing on more than 25 years representing both public and private sector union members, Ms. Niemi Hood has served on the board of the OMERS Sponsors Corporation, the Governance Committee of the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund, as Vice-Chair of the OPSEU Joint Trusteed Benefit Fund and as chief executive officer of Toronto Electrical Industry Benefits Administration Services (TEIBAS Ltd.), an in-house pension and benefits administration company for the IBEW Local 353. With a key focus on governance, investments and member service, she holds the Chartered Director designation from McMaster University, the CEBS designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, the Osgoode Certificate in Pension Law and a bachelor’s degree from Queen’s University.
