Nyenrode Business University
Prof.dr.ir. Marijn Janssen lectures the courses ‘Design of Innovative ICT-Infrastructures and services', 'Business Processes Management and Technology" at Delft University of Technology. He is teaching the module ‘business process & technology’ at the MBA Business & IT of Nyenrode Business University. Furthermore he is coures manager of “Information Management & Design” Teaching Module 3 - information management - in the Master of Public Information Management (MPIM) of the Erasmus University, Rotterdam. He initiated a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) in the field of ‘open government’ which attracted over 3500 subscribers.
Marijn Janssen is co-editor-in-chief of Government Information Quarterly (GIQ), associate editor of International Journal of E-business Research (IJEBR), international Journal of E-Government Research (IJEGR), Decision Support Systems (DSS) and on the editorial board of Information Systems Frontiers (ISF), Transforming Government: People, Process & Policy (TGPPP) and Information Polity (IP).
He is co-chair at the E-government open data and datafication minitrack (and in the past of the interoperability infrastructure and e-policy, governance and law track) of the HICSS conference, was the organizing chair of ICEC04, IFIP EGOV2011 and IFIP I3E2015 held in Delft, and is programme chair of the IFIP I3E2016 conference and conference chair of the annual IFIP EGOV conferences series since 2009. He is also track chair of the e-government track at AMCIS and serves on several programme committees of conferences.
As a full professor he is involved in society oriented technology foresight studies at The Netherlands Study Centre for Technology Trends (STT). This institute was established in 1968 by The Netherlands Royal Instititute of Engineers (KIVI). STT is an independent non-profit foundation, funded by financial contributions from the Dutch government and industry and science.

Marijn Janssen supervised 8 PhDs who completed their thesis successfully and is supervising 7 PhD students. In his career he received 13 awards for best papers at conferences and in journals. He was ranked as one of the leading e-government researchers in a survey in 2009, 2014, and 2016 and published over 350 refereed publications.
