Biography

Manoj Sharma received his Ph.D. degree from Thapar University, Patiala, India in 2011. He was an Assistant Professor with Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, India, from 2011 to 2015. Thereafter, he moved to the National Nanotechnology Research Centre (UNAM), Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, as a Visiting Scientist on sabbatical leave. From July 2017 to March 2021 he has worked as a Research Fellow and Senior Research Fellow with the LUMINOUS! Center of Excellence for Semiconductor Lighting and Displays, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

In May 2021, he joined the ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science as a Research Fellow at Monash University. His current research interests include the understanding of light-matter interactions for semiconductor nanocrystals, the synthesis and photophysical studies of colloidal quantum dots, and nanoplatelets for their application in different optoelectronic devices. He has published over 48 SCI journal articles.
