    • Launched a graduate program in business analytics and recruited over 32 full-time and 10 part-time students

Currently on steering committee for a multi-university data challenge for students who will compete at the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s Capital Data Summit 2018

As Executive Director of the Apex Systems Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (Apex CIE), I provide leadership for the Center and graduate education related to innovation and entrepreneurship, including the launch of graduate programs and teaching in the National Capital Region. The Apex CIE is a catalyst for Virginia Tech's innovation ecosystem and supports faculty and student creativity and interdisciplinary collaboration. The Center also promotes engagement with business, industry, and government with the goal of increasing national reputation, financial and research resources, and regional economic growth. The Apex CIE's mission is to educate, connect, coordinate, and develop Virginia Tech's innovators and entrepreneurs by providing access to internal and external resources.

The Steven A. Denning Technology & Management Program creates successful, cross-functional leaders in technology and business-related fields. Companies need engineers who understand both market forces and the financial implications of technology investment. Also in high demand are managers who understand the technical aspects of new product development, as well as the capabilities and constraints within the science, computing, and engineering disciplines. The Denning T&M Program builds upon Georgia Tech's outstanding programs and curriculum to meet these needs and create the cross-functional leaders of the future.

The Denning T&M Program focuses on a select group of undergraduate students from the Colleges of Management, Engineering, and Computing who offer interdisciplinary team solutions to real-world problems facing our Corporate Affiliates. Each class emphasizes experiential learning and includes hands-on elements.
