Klaus Illigmann is sectorhead of the "Strategic Development Planning" unit in the Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulations in Department I "Urban Development Planning" of the City of Munich. His main tasks include the Munich urban development concept "PERSPEKTIVE MUNICH" with its new urban development plan Munich 2040. In addition, he is the city's internal governance lead on the topic of smart cities and represents these issues both at the level of the Free State of Bavaria and at the federal level. He is the municipal spokesperson for the Bavarian thematic platform "Smart Cities Smart Regions" of the "Centre for Digitalisation Bavaria" (ZD.B) integrated in "Bayern Innovativ", at the federal level he is a member of the "Smart Cities" dialogue platform of the Federal Ministry of the Interior and is the municipal spokesperson for the "Smart Cities Standard Forum" (SCSF) of DIN/DKE on behalf of the Association of Cities.
