Originally from Tokyo, I have been working at the intersection of international relations, comparative politics, and international law. Broadly speaking, my research interest includes international security, conflict studies, and peacebuilding. My current research is focused on self-determination conflicts and their conflict resolution processes. I have conducted fieldwork in East Timor, Indonesia, and Ethiopia.
