With her research, Katharina Pernkopf moves at the interface of organizational institutionalism and (comparative) human resources research. She is interested in how new requirements - on a societal, organizational or individual level - affect staff, work and organization. She is currently dealing with the implementation of working time regulations, questions relating to the topic of employer attractiveness and the gap between personnel research and practice. She also deals with the labor market situation of (self-initiated) expatriates, university graduates and refugees.

Katharina Pernkopf conducts research in the wider field of organizational institutionalism and (comparative) HRM. She studies how new requirements - on a societal, organizational or individual level - affect work, employment and organization.
