Katharina Helten joined Conti Temic microelectronic GmbH (Business Unit Hybrid and Electric Vehicle) in 2013 as Lean Manager with a focus on R&D processes. In this capacity, she steered several international change projects, one of which carried out the successful introduction of agile development processes. In early 2017, Katharina took over a team lead position in the motor design department of electric drivetrains. Recently, she became Head of Module Reducer for the business unit. In her work, Katharina has always been fascinated by the challenges of cross-functional teams in product development and by the effects of human factors on team dynamics and project success.
Katharina holds a diploma degree from RWTH Aachen University and a doctoral degree (Dr.-Ing.) from Technische Universität München, both in Mechanical Engineering.
Katharina actively volunteers to support female talents within the engineering sciences. From the very start 10 years ago, she is active member of the alumnae society Femtec.Alumnae e.V. With their engagement, the society strives to pave the way for more female leaders and representatives in science and engineering.
