Justin is an impact-driven strategy professional with nearly 20 years’ experience working across start-up social enterprises to multi-national corporations to improve commercial results with a more social approach and social approaches with a more commercial focus.

Biography

Justin started his career as a strategy consultant at Kaiser Associates before shifting his career towards sustainable enterprise. Justin has headed sustainability strategy at SC Johnson, PUMA and OVO Energy. In these roles, Justin executed in the field and made the case in the board room for inclusive (“Base of the Pyramid”) and circular business model innovation and integrating sustainability into core products, strategic partnerships and core functions.

Justin is co-founder and (non-exec) Chief Impact Officer of INBONIS, a certified B Corp dedicated to improving the way banks understand and work with micro, small and medium enterprise. INBONIS provides faster and more accurate risk assessment services incorporating traditional and alternative data like social capital, community impact, and social and environmental risk factors to improve MSME access to finance.

In 2017, Justin established Azao Consulting’s UK office where he leads the team working with corporate clients to accelerate social innovation and inclusive business development in precarious, informal and emerging markets. Justin and the team support their clients with social innovation and inclusive business information, insights, ideation, iteration and implementation. Justin leads Azao’s sanitation practice

Justin is also a founding member and catalyst for the League of Intrapreneurs and a Senior Associate of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
