Biography
- Juan is the Founder and Executive President of Universal Diagnostics, a biomedicine start-up, with the mission to develop and make globally available a simple and accurate blood test for the early detection of cancer.
- After working in world-class companies like Abengoa and McKinsey, Juan was founder and CEO of "$50K", one of the first high-tech new venture accelerators in Europe, launched in collaboration with the MIT Entrepreneurship Center. He has participated directly in launching more than 100 high-tech start-ups, and has worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs.
- Following his work in entrepreneurship he later launched Fundacion Eduarda Justo, a non-profit foundation of the Cosentino Group to identify, educate and inspire young leaders, with the aim of developing the leaders that will build the future of the South.
- Juan holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), a Master in Economics from Ecole Centrale Paris (France) and a MS and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Sevilla (Spain). He graduated in Exponential Technologies at Singularity University, located at NASA Ames Park, California.
