José Cuevas Porres

José started his career at PwC Assurance and Advisory Services division where he spent 3 years and lead several teams. After that he worked as an associate at “la Caixa” Corporate Finance department. From may 2008 José was in charge of Vector Capital SCR (private equity investment vehicle of Caixa Penedès with funds of 32MM€) and member of its Board. Some of the investments owned by Vector Capital and managed by José are Gas Gas Motos, S.A., Efectivox, S.A. and GECSA. José has been member of the Board of Directors of these firms.

In November 2011 José started his career at March Group. He was in charge of Corporate Banking business of Banca March in Catalonia and Aragon being part of bank´s Executive Committee in Catalonia and Aragon.

In January 2015 José was promoted as Head of Corporate Business of Banca March (with Spanish scope) and is in charge of all banking businesses related with companies with a revenue above 40 milion euros of Banca March.

José is Banca March representative in Oquendo Capital investment committee. Oquendo is an independent firm specialized in structuring mezzanine financing and preferred capital for small and medium companies in Spain and Portugal. Oquendo Mezzanine II has a 100MM€ target and make investments of 5-15MM€.

José holds a BA in Business from Universitat de Barcelona and Executive MBA from IESE Business School.

Specialties: Ability to identify companies that deserve investment, research, due diligence, execution, portfolio management, exit and people skills.

From 2018 José is also Member of the Board of Real Club de Tenis Barcelona being its Treasurer.
