Biography
HKUST Business School
Professor Jeevan Jaisingh has served as a consultant to the HKSAR government, Intellectual Property Department, advising them on technology protection to counter online piracy. He has taught at HKUST MBA Programs and has executive teaching experience with the Project Management Institute (PMI). He has won a number of selected teaching and professional awards including Michael G. Gale Medal for Distinguished Teaching Award, Common Core Excellence Award, Franklin Prize for Teaching Excellence Award, and Dean’s list for excellent teaching Award.
Professor Jaisingh’s research interests lie in the areas of open source software, piracy, privacy and vulnerability disclosure. His work has been published in Journal of Management Information Systems, European Journal of Operational Research, Decision Support Systems, Journal of Organizational Computing and Electronic Commerce, Journal of Electronic Commerce Research and Journal of Information Technology and Decision Making.
Prior to joining academics, Professor Jaisingh worked for one of the largest consulting companies in India, Tata Consultancy Services, working for clients in the shipping, banking and airline industry.
