Biography

Hult International Business School

Jamie Millard is passionate about Can-Do Leadership. With over 30 years of leadership experience, he's seen first hand the power of leaders who are able to unleash the can-do spirit in others. From his early leadership experience as a West Point graduate, commissioned officer and Army Ranger -- to his first hand experience as a manager, leader, and executive -- to his extensive experience as a Partner and Practice Leader for several top-tier management consulting firms -- to his decades of experience designing and facilitating highly customized leadership training programs -- to his impactful executive coaching assignments -- the one constant in Jamie's professional life has been his devotion to the art and craft of leadership. Jamie and his co-author, Frank Satterthwaite, have captured much of this experience in Becoming a Can-Do Leader: A Guide for the Busy Manager.

About 15 years ago, Jamie co-founded Lexington Leadership Partners LLC, a leadership development firm focused on customized leadership training and executive coaching. He and his co-founder and business partner Gus Murby are both Executive Partners of the firm and with their high energy and back & forth antics, they have been called the "Frick & Frack" of leadership training.

Over Jamie's consulting, coaching and leadership development & training career, he has worked with an amazing array of global clients including AECOM, AT&T, Bayer MaterialScience, Conti, Dell, Draper Laboratory, DuPont, EMC, GE, GTech, Heidrick & Stuggles, The Home Depot, IBM, KVH, The Learning Company, Macronix, Mercy Hospital, Mott MacDonald, Nationwide Insurance, Nuance, PwC, Raytheon, Rockwell Collins, Rogers, Rohm & Haas, Schering Plough, State Street, United Technologies, US Navy, VCE and WEA Trust.

Before Lexington Leadership, Jamie led the National Organization Change Management Practice at CSC Consulting. Prior to that he was a Managing Director at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC), which acquired Harbridge House, where he led the Continuous Improvement and Project Management practices. Earlier, he was a manager in Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co (now KPMG). He began his journey in leadership as an Army Lieutenant and Captain.

Jamie is regularly asked to be a keynote or session presenter at regional and international conferences -- often with a focus on helping busy managers become can-do leaders, unleash the can-do spirit, lead can-do teams and create a can-do learning culture. He and his co-author, Frank Satterthwaite, are featured in a number of webcasts, video clips, podcasts and blogs.

Jamie holds a BS degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from the University of Rhode Island. He is a member of the Global Educator Network with Duke Corporate Education, a Professor at Hult International Business School and an Adjunct Executive Professor at Northeastern University.
