Biography

Trained in both management and engineering, Lee studies innovation and entrepreneurship. His doctoral dissertation won the 2006 Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Industry Studies Dissertation Award- First Prize. Lee received Ph.D. training in the "Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Technological Change" program at Carnegie Mellon University. He also holds degrees in engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla (M.S.) and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (B.S.). Prior to his Ph.D. studies at Carnegie Mellon, Lee studied public policy at Georgia Institute of Technology. Lee also worked as an engineer at Kia Motors from 1994 to 2000.

He is a member of the Academy of Management, International Motor Vehicle Program (IMVP), Sloan Industry Studies Association and INFORMS.
