Biography

University of Western Australia Business School

Gudrun is the Director of her own consultancy firm, which she founded in 2001. She utilises her experiences gained from previous work in state government departments, local government, for profit and not for profit organisations in roles covering direct service delivery, management, education, procurement and quality assurance across the children, community, education, disability and aged care sectors.

After participating in the Small Business Excellence Program (SBEP) at UWA in 2007 she received the Dux Award. She has since been a regular guest presenter on small business innovation and entrepreneurship for the UWA Business School's MBA program. She also consults and delivers training programs on cultural intelligence via the Murdoch University's Executive Education Centre.

Gudrun, as the Director of her business, currently holds several panel contracts with state departments; under these contracts she provides services such as evaluating the quality of services provided to people with disabilities, and regulatory compliance of support provided to children residing in out of home care.

Her organisation is a preferred provider for workplace development and consultancy services across the social services sector. Over the years her clients have included organisations such as the Disability Services Commission (DSC), the Department for Child Protection and Family Services (DCPFS), Western Australian Council of Social Services (WACOSS), the Aged and Community Services (ACSWA), the Department for Training and Workforce Development (DTWD), the Mental Health Commission (MHC), Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education, the Independent Living Centre of WA (ILCWA), CARERS WA, SENSES Foundation Inc., the African Australian Union Inc. (AAU), and the National Out of School Hours Services Association (NOSHSA).

GoodRun Solutions, under Gudrun's leadership, held the contract to manage a service to increase sector capacity in early care and education in two Australian states from 2007 until 2011. As part of this contract Gudrun and her team developed numerous publications, created innovative workforce development opportunities and conducted collaborative projects to facilitate the creation of appropriate and effective learning environments for children from diverse background, particularly those from indigenous and refugee backgrounds.
