Giulio Buciuni is an Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship and the director of the M.Sc. in Entrepreneurship. His research interests focus primarily on entrepreneurial ecosystems, entrepreneurial firms' innovation strategy and innovation in Global Value Chains (GVC). In addition to research and teaching, Dr. Buciuni is the co-founder of a born-global business.

Giulio Buciuni is an Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship and the director of the M.Sc. in Entrepreneurship, which he launched in September 2017. Dr. Buciuni is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Center on Global Value Chains at Duke University since 2011. Prior to joining Trinity Business School, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Toronto and at Cà Foscari University of Venice.

Dr. Buciuni's research interest focuses on entrepreneurial ecosystems, entrepreneurial firms' innovation strategy and innovation in Global Value Chains (GVC). In particular, his most recent research analyses the relationship between manufacturing firms' outsourcing strategy and their innovation capabilities and the evolution of innovation clusters in the global economy. The results of his works have been published in academic journals and books like Regional Studies, Industrial and Corporate Change and the Oxford Handbook for Local Competitiveness as well as by the Organization for the Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). In addition to working in the academic sector, Dr. Buciuni is the co-founder of a born-global firm operating in the furniture and contract sector and is involved in several consulting and mentoring activities supporting the establishment and growth of new businesses.
