Maastricht School of Management

Frans Cornelis is a non-executive director, marketing and communications professor and consultant with over 20 years of experience as the top Marketing and/or Communications manager in the companies he worked for.

With Comarco and HarveyBloom, he consults to the top management of major companies with a communications, marketing or sustainability challenge. Clients of Comarco include listed and non-listed Dutch, Belgian, English, USA-based and Swiss companies.

Comarco is also associated with Kremer and Company in the Netherlands, and a number of other firms and institutions in a business ecosystem.

At Maastricht School of Management, he is Professor of Practice in Marketing and Communications. He is also teaching the introductory Governance specialty course for executive MBA's.

Frans had and has a number of non-executive roles.

At Randstad Holding, he was responsible for all Marketing, Communications and Sustainability in the group during the period where the group grew from a revenue of around Euro 5 Billion to roughly Euro 17 Billion.

Before Randstad, Frans held a similar function in Royal KPN, the Dutch national telecoms company. Other roles before that were those of Vice President Marketing at international coffee firm Douwe Egberts, and business management roles at AT&T, OPG/Medic and ICI.

Frans is an honorary member of NIMA, the Dutch Association for Marketing (and Communications). He is the Chairman of the professional marketing qualification system of NIMA. He was on the Dutch top 100 marketer list for over 17 years, and is a regular speaker at a number of universities, seminars and congresses.

He has an MBA and an International Director Certification from Insead, Fontainebleu, France and a masters degree in Law and Information Science from the University of Leyden, the Netherlands.

Frans is a Dutch national, and he is fluent in English, French and German. He is a keen rower, and has served for ten years as a board member and Chairman of the Royal Dutch Rowing Federation KNRB.
