Felix Weinhardt

Biography

Felix Weinhardt is professor of Economics (Public Economics) at the Europa-University Viadrina and researcher at the DIW Berlin. He is also associated with the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics, IZA and CESifo. He obtained his PhD after three-and-a-half years at the LSE in 2012 and also visited the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California Berkeley during his studies in 2011.

Felix is an applied microeconomist interested in causes and consequences of social and spatial inequality. Consequently, Felix' research lies at the crossroads of Public Economics, Labour Economics, Economics of Education and Urban Economics.

His work has been published (among others) by the Review of Economic Studies, The Review of Economics and Statistics, the Journal of the European Economic Association, the Journal of Labor Economics, the Economic Journal and the Journal of Urban Economics.

He joined IZA as a Research Affiliate in November 2010 and became a Research Fellow in July 2014.
