Eva Teekens

I am a passionate individual, crazy about my family, obsessed with travel, hungry for new challenges, and devoted to societal issues, particularly those of the less privileged. Born in the Netherlands but with also Portuguese blood in my veins, my roots are mixed.

I take pride in having chosen the unconventional way and starting my career in Tanzania, away from my family but close to the core of what matters to me. With a thirst for adventure and challenge, I have never settled for comfort and have always tried to push myself beyond my limits and invisible barriers imposed by others.

Development and Impact Finance has been my specialty for over 10 years. I invested in a business, started one myself, worked in an innovative start-up, managed a large portfolio of African investments for the Rabo Foundation, and have now landed myself my dream job as Chief Investment Officer for reNature and Investment Manager for Meraki Impact, putting all my focus on sustainable food systems and positive environmental impact.

Next to an exciting career path, I have a beautiful family with an incredibly smart and supportive husband and three kids who keep me young (and tired). Keeping fit is part of my lifestyle and I love listening to jazz when I''m on my own. My objective is to keep balancing the scales whilst not forgetting what’s truly important: enjoying life.
