Biography

Professor Ephrat Livne-Ofer joined New York University Stern School of Business as an adjunct professor of Management and Organizations in January 2017. She teachers Management and Organizations.

Professor Livne-Ofer’s research focuses on employee-organization relationships and on factors that contribute to or inhibit their success. As a part of her work, she developed a scale to measure employees’ perceptions of exploitation by their organization, and has investigated the antecedents and consequences of such perceptions. Her research demonstrates the detrimental effects of exploitative employee-organization relationships on organizations and on individual employees. Professor Livne-Ofer has also examined the explanatory power of certain personality constructs and their impact on helping behaviors, and has co-authored work that has been published in Human Resource Management Review and in the Journal of Personality Assessment.

Professor Livne-Ofer received her Ph.D in Management (the Employment Relations and Organizational Behavior Group) from The London School of Economics and Political Science. She holds a B.A., B.Sc and an M.B.A from Tel-Aviv University and an M.Sc in Employment Relations and Organizational Behavior from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
