Eliezer Van Allen

Eliezer Van Allen is an associate member at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and an assistant professor at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. His areas of focus are computational cancer genomics, the application of new technologies such as massively parallel sequencing to personalized cancer medicine, and resistance to cancer therapeutics. Van Allen’s current research includes using genome sequencing of genitourinary (prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular) cancers to determine the appropriate treatment for individual patients.

Van Allen earned a B.S. from the Symbolic Systems Program at Stanford University and his M.D. from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, and served as a fellow in medical oncology at Dana-Farber.
