Dr. Christine Carpenter is a clinical psychologist, in private practice for nearly 20 years. She earned both her Master’s and Doctoral degrees from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and is a certified Level II Sensorimotor Psychotherapy practitioner.

Relational dynamics form the foundation of Dr. Carpenter’s therapeutic approach, making group psychotherapy an ideal resource for her clients. She has run many interpersonal process groups over the years and has developed a short-term group workshop specifically focused on dating.

For the last ten years, Dr. Carpenter has been an active member of the Great Lakes Group Psychotherapy Society where she has participated in and led many Training Groups. For the last three years she has been a member of a private weekly training group for therapists.

Dr. Carpenter has twice co-facilitated Interpersonal Dynamics at Booth and has taught Psychology of Women, Abnormal Psychology and Psychodiagnostic Testing at her alma mater.

Dr. Carpenter is an active instructor and group leader who uses warmth and playfulness to challenge her students to take the risks that lead to greater learning in the classroom and success in their personal and professional relationships
