Chibunna Chimezie

Chibunna is currently a first-year student at Duke University Fuqua School of Business, where he is pursuing a certificate in Healthcare Sector Management in addition to a concentration in Finance focusing on Investments.

At Fuqua, Chibunna serves on the Health Care Club Events and External Affairs Committee and is also part of the Professional Development Committee for Black & Latino MBA Organization (BLMBAO). Chibunna is very passionate about healthcare, most distinctly the convergence of data analytics and digital technologies to develop specialized treatments and to make healthcare more accessible and affordable. Prior to Fuqua, Chibunna spent over six years in the managed care industry working for various payors and providers and held positions in quality, regulatory and most recently, analytics. Notable achievements in his managed care career include designing predictive RX data algorithm to identify opioid abuse and developing analytical insights that led to 12% reduction in Emergency Room costs saving 20M across eight hospitals. Chibunna holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Jacksonville State University and an MPA (Master in Public Administration) from Rutgers University School of Public Affairs and Administration.
