Overview
I am a registered nurse and specialist community public health nurse (health visitor), and teach on the BNurs undergraduate degree programme.
Biography
I commenced nurse training at The University of Manchester in 2005, on what was then the DPSN programme. After qualifying in 2008, I spent the first few years of my career specialising in perioperative practice, before moving in to the community and qualifying as a registered health visitor and community prescriber. I graduated from the MClin Res programme at the University of Manchester 2015, and have broad research interests relating to public health including global health, health inequalities, perinatal mental health and the early years.
I started in post as Lecturer in 2015, and teach on undergraduate units on both the BNurs programme.
