Biography

Burcu Hacibedel is an economist in the African Division of the IMF’s Institute for Capacity Development. Before joining the IMF in 2012, she worked at the OECD (Paris, France) and the European Investment Bank (Luxembourg). She holds PhD, MPhil and MBA degrees from the University of Oxford (UK), and was an Assistant Professor of Finance at Erasmus University (the Netherlands). Her research interests include international finance, asset pricing and macroprudential policy.
