Bret Cavanagh

Bret is a pragmatic scientist, inclined to action, with a strong and varied technical background and a desire to make real improvement to technical and business processes. He has a passion for teaching others how to do the same. He has over 30 years post-graduate experience in professional, management and consulting roles within manufacturing, engineering and consulting organisations.

A key part of AGSM’s Operational Excellence Programs for several years, Bret has supported the success of that program as a coach and key member of the certification board for Lean Six Sigma Green Belts, Black Belts, and Master Black Belts.

Driven by a thirst to understand everything around him a little bit better, he defines himself through his continued approach to learning and sharing knowledge.

His motto is “Perfection is the enemy of better.”

Bret’s personal passions as an experienced aviation pilot and enthusiastic amateur sailor reflect his belief that “the pursuit of perfection in the smallest task can make the difference in achieving success.”
