Basil Towers works with the Centre for Corporate Reputation and Executive Education on research and teaching programmes, such as the Corporate Affairs Academy, which he helped to establish.

Basil Towers is the principal of Tie-stone. He advises on trust and reputation as assets that determine business value and the development of high-value corporate affairs functions. His international research informs benchmarks and frameworks that improve business performance. Basil worked for Burson Marsteller and Shandwick before establishing Christow Consultants in 1989. He founded Hesleden Partners in 2005, to help companies build reputation capabilities and resources. In 2014, Hesleden was acquired by Blue Rubicon (now Teneo), where he worked as a senior managing director until 2019. Basil is a senior adviser to Teneo, a director of Gatehouse Advisory Partners and an associate fellow at Saïd Business School. He established the Corporate Affairs Academy in partnership with the Oxford Centre for Corporate Reputation.
