António Serrano

António Serrano is a full professor at the University of Évora and holds a PhD in Business Management, serving as chairman of the Board of Directors of Hospital do Espírito Santo, in Évora. He was director of the Agri-Food Policy Planning Office of the Ministry of Agriculture, and member of the Steering Committee of the Operational Program of Alentejo-INALENTEJO, of the National Strategic Reference Framework (QREN). He was appointed Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries of the XVIII Constitutional Government of Portugal, in October 2009.
