Andreas Schumacher

He studied Industrial Engineering - Mechanical Engineering at TU Wien and after several years of consulting, he worked in an assistant position at the Institute of Management Science at TU Wien. Since 2016, he has been responsible for the overall teaching operations in the Department of Systems Engineering and Business Sciences at TU Wien. He also holds a teaching assignment in the areas of production and quality management, digital factory planning, and scientific work. Since 2017, he was been working as a project manager and head of the research field of Operational Excellence 4.0 at Fraunhofer Austria, conducting research and industry projects in areas such as value stream analysis, business model analysis and development, Industry 4.0 maturity model assessment, Industry 4.0 roadmapping, and assembly planning. He has completed his doctoral studies at the Technical University of Vienna in the field of digitalization of production processes.
