Sloan School of Management

Andreas S. Schulz is the Patrick J. McGovern (1959) Professor of Management and a Professor of Operations Research at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Schulz is a well-known expert in operations research and the science of making optimal decisions based on sophisticated mathematical models and analyses. Trained as a mathematician, his research advances the power of today’s optimization methods in view of incomplete information, poorly coordinated decision-making, or limited computation times. His industrial collaborations include projects in telecommunications network design, vehicle routing, and scheduling.

Schulz holds a diploma and a PhD in mathematics from the Technische Universität Berlin, Germany.
