Biography

Kenan-Flagler Business School

Alex Dickey brings almost 30 years of experience managing and growing consulting organizations and defining, developing, and implementing innovative solutions for the world’s leading financial institutions to UNC Kenan-Flagler.

He teaches consulting skills and frameworks and is a faculty advisor to the STAR program, which gives MBA and Undergraduate Business students the experience of real-world” consulting on projects for both large and small companies.

Professor Dickey works closely with the MBA Career & Leadership team and students in the Consulting Club at UNC Kenan-Flagler.

He worked as executive vice president and chief of strategy for business consulting for NTT Data after its acquisition of Carlisle & Gallagher Consulting Group (CG), where he had served as EVP, COO and chief strategy officer. He was instrumental in the efforts to rebrand and build CG into a 1,200-plus person, $150 million consulting firm during his six years, and ultimately led the sale process and due diligence for its sale to NTT Data in 2015.

He also had a distinguished career at Accenture with experience defining, developing and implementing innovative solutions for financial institutions. He focused on financial services during his 21 years at the firm, from which he retired as managing director in 2008.

Professor Dickey and his wife founded and operate a property management and investment business, Alista Properties.

He serves on the Board of Advisors at UNC Kenan-Flagler on the board of Tar Heel Soccer Club.

He received his BSBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler.
