About the course
The leadership challenges of today are unparalleled. To deal with an increasingly complex world, organizations have become more complex; two- and three-dimensional organizational matrices are more the rule than the exception. No one can get their jobs done without interacting with other people. Interpersonal savvy is critical for maintaining effective relationships.
Being an effective leader in today’s complex organizations demands a suite of personal abilities that encompass both the head and the heart, including stamina, courage, and emotional intelligence.
Interpersonal Savvy for Leaders is a highly interactive course, with significant participant involvement and interaction. Not only will participants learn, but they will also experiment with what they learn during the course. In this course, participants will have fun and be challenged.
This course will develop leadership behaviors that research shows are demonstrated by effective managers and team leaders. Broadly grouped under the banner of emotional intelligence, effective behaviors involve self-awareness, social awareness, self-management, and relationship management. Participants will become adept at dealing with the complexity involved in leading organizational change. Participants will also excel at building the relationships that result in a fast-moving, adaptive, and resonant organizational culture.
Through this course, participants will gain a deeper recognition of their own leadership capabilities and identify areas for their own leadership development.
- Growth in understanding one’s strengths and areas for development in the interpersonal arena
- Better relationships at work and with colleagues/staff
- Personal renewal for increased resilience and performance
- Leadership learning plans for on-going development
