Biography
National University of Singapore
Yvonne earned her B.A in Physics from the University of Oxford and her doctorate from Yale University in the group of Professor Robert J. Schoelkopf. Her work focused on developing programmable interactions and robust operations between multiphoton quantum states encoded in superconducting cavities.
In 2019, Yvonne was named one of the Innovators Under 35 (Asia Pacific) by MIT Tech Review for her work in developing crucial building blocks for quantum computers. In March 2020, Yvonne joined the Centre for Quantum Technologies in the National University of Singapore as a Presidential Young Professor and a National Research Foundation (NRF) Fellow. She is starting a new research initiative to develop modular quantum devices using superconducting microwave circuits.
Current Research
My team works on building robust quantum hardware using superconducting microwave circuits. Our devices provide useful avenues to develop novel techniques for quantum information processing as well as to explore interesting effects in quantum physics.
